Charitable Support Grants for Charitable and Voluntary Organisations in Watford and Three Rivers
We are delighted to announce that W3RT CVS will be managing a new fund for voluntary sector organisations based in Watford or Three Rivers, made available through the respective Councils.
This fund has a total of £97,500 available for Watford based charities and £47,500 available to charities based in Three Rivers. This fund, known as the Charity/Charitable Support Fund, offers grants of up to £5,000 to help charities that have been impacted by Covid-19 to resume, develop or innovate their business operations.
Organisations can apply for funding for a range of costs including:
- Accessing consultancy services to improve business operations
- Accessing training
- Purchasing equipment/software to improve business efficiency
- Improving premises
Elected Mayor of Watford Peter Taylor said “I’m really pleased we’ve made this grant possible. I’m sure it will provide vital help to charities in Watford. Over the pandemic I think we’ve all seen the huge importance of the role charities play in our community, and I know many of these organisations have struggled without access to their traditional fundraising methods. This new grant will help charities find exciting new ways of working and will increase the impact of their expertise and compassion.”
Councillor Sarah Nelmes, Leader of Three Rivers District Council, said: "I am pleased that Three Rivers District Council are able to provide this grant to support local charities and community groups to meet the needs of their service, and service users during Covid. This fund will helps our local organisations deliver new ways of working, and help them to resume normal activities to help recover from the Covid crisis.
